Obituary for Sharon Gail Plumley "Nanny"

Sharon Gail Plumley, age 75 of Lindley, NY passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 1, 1946 in Hornell, NY, the daughter of the late Kenneth Allen and Mary Alberta (McNeill) Allen. Sharon was a graduate of West High School class of 1965. She married the love of her life Charles H. Plumley on May 29, 1965 and they enjoyed 45 years of a loving marriage. Sharon loved being surrounded by her family and friends and had a special place in her heart for her cat Miss Polly Paws. She enjoyed playing cards, the beach, sewing, making crafts, and bowling.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Robin (Kurt) Sherman and their daughters: Morgan and Shelby; Lisa (Scott) Rose and their sons: Zackarie and Tyler; Jodi (Todd) Laughlin and their children: Cassandra and Cameron; Jolene (Steve) Burun and their sons: Steven, Anthony and Nicholas; and Charles Plumley, II and his daughters: McKavery and Keana; Siblings: Patricia English, Norman (Eileen) Allen, Mary Lou Smith, Joseph Allen, Sheila Skoreski and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Charles Plumley; and her brother, Richard Allen.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St. Corning, NY. A service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 6:00 pm.
