Obituary for Ronald "Ron" J. Stratton Sr.
Ronald "Ron" J. Stratton, Sr., age 75, of Beaver Dams, New York passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at
Guthrie Corning Hospital with family by his side. Ron was born June 19, 1946 in Corning, New York to the late James and Catherine Stratton.
Ron was an entrepreneur and had many trades during his lifetime. Most recently retiring from Callahan Construction.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Christine (Timothy) Gehl of Painted Post, NY; grandchildren: Megan (Charles) Harrison of Corning, NY, Mallery (Nathan) Crosby of Corning, NY and Gunnar Gurnsey of Buffalo, NY; three great-grandchildren: Charleigh, Freya and Jasper Harrison; siblings: Donald (Judy) Stratton of Campbell, NY and Kimberly (Roy) Simms of Homosassa, FL; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents Ron is predeceased by his son, Ronald Stratton Jr.
Ron had a big heart, his home was always open, he loved his friends stopping by for visits, he was fun loving, enjoyed playing cards and loved gardening in the summer months. His family and friends were very dear to him.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Phillips Funeral Home, Corning, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will take place in West Hill Cemetery at the conclusion of the service.
