Obituary for Phyllis H. Mapes
Phyllis H. Mapes, age 95 of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Corning, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was born on May 19, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to David and Julia Helton. She married Eugene Mapes on 29 January 1955.
Phyllis also known as Patty to many is survived by her former son-in-law Eric and grandsons: Avery and Daniel Cohen and 2 great grandchildren. She was very fond of her nephew Kevin Reynolds, her niece Julia Swan, and her husband Steve Swan.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Eugene W. Mapes on November 15, 2014; her daughter Donna Burlingame Cohen on December 29, 2000 and her three sisters: Clare Bair, Norma Helton, and Lillie May Perkins.
A graveside service will be held at Coopers Plains Cemetery on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Noon. Phillips Funeral Home has been entrusted with Phyllis' care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to your local Hospice organization in her memory.
