Rev. Patrick Michael Sheedy, age 79, of Painted Post, New York passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1943 in Dunkirk, New York to John and Christine (Jaworski) Sheedy. Patrick was a graduate of Dunkirk High School in 1961. He was also a graduate of Corning Community College (AS) and Keuka College (BS). He married Marilyn Horton on August 1, 1981 in Sonyea, NY. He was employed by Sun Pipeline, Big Flats, NY for 33 years before his retirement in 2003.

Patrick, W2DHB, was a dedicated Amateur Radio enthusiast and Eagle Scout, who adored his grandkids, and would never hesitate to help anyone in need. He was the pastor at Brooklyn Free Methodist Church in east Otto, NY for two years. He was also the Chaplain at First Health Pinehurst, NC for two years.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; four children: Gloria (Cory) Briglin of NC, Mark (Rebecca) Dusablon of Prattsburgh, Laura (Robert Shoults) Sheedy of VA, Pamela (Charles) Drake of Bradford; six grandchildren: Dale, Dominic, Landon, Orion, Elena, Finley; siblings: James (Cheryl) Sheedy of Dunkirk, John "Jack" (Cyndi) Sheedy of Irving, NY, Joseph Sheedy of TN; along with several in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was predeceased by his son, Daniel Laursen; brother, Thomas Sheedy; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Laura Horton.

Family and friends are invited to call at Beartown Road Alliance Church, 21 Beartown Road, Painted Post, NY 14870 Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 1:00pm-2:00pm. A memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Isaac Howe officiating. Phillips Funeral Home has been entrusted with Rev. Patrick's final arrangements.
