Obituary for Pamela I. Viens (Caslin)
Pamela I. Viens, age 69, of Corning, New York passed away on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 27th, 1953 in Montour Falls, New York, the daughter of the late Harry Caslin and Inez Carman. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Raymond Viens.
Pamela will be remembered for her love for her family, gardening, and her love for taking care of others and her special dog, Jackson.
Pamela is survived by her children: Victoria (Brian) Ellis, Inez McEnroe, and Jennifer (Barry) Hemly; grandchildren: Nicholas (Ashley), Rachel, Jacqueline, Brandan, Emily, Madelaine, and Garrett; siblings: Patricia Larsen, and Debra Gross; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Pamela was predeceased by her seven siblings: Doloros, Anita, Max, David, Frank, John, and Larry.
Family and friends are invited to Visitation at Phillips Funeral Home on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church, 155 State Street on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at the family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery in Corning.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Pamela’s name may be sent to: St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and the SPCA.
