Obituary for Mary Ellen Stowell (Mallia)
On August 15, 2022, Mary Ellen Stowell, of Fort Pierce, Florida, stepped onto a shore and found Heaven. She reached out and felt the reassuring touch of God's hand. She breathed in long and deep, and for the first time, she smelled Heaven's sweet air.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward H. Stowell, her daughter, Colleen (Male) Pokorny, her son, C. James Male, as well as numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Tom Male.
Mary Ellen's favorite game was golf, and she spent many years playing with the Cherokee Chicks at the Indian Hills Golf Club. She enjoyed a lifetime of crossword puzzles; her favorite song was "Amazing Grace", and she could tell a funny joke to anyone. She found thrift stores fascinating and her favorite dessert was chocolate ice cream.
In memory of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cousin. Until we see you again.
In keeping with her wishes, Mary Ellen will be cremated and family services will be private. In lieu of flowers, her husband has requested donations may be made to a charity of one's choosing.
