Obituary for Marjorie "Marge" A. Simpson
Marjorie "Marge" A. Simpson, age 86, of Campbell, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 at Steuben Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
She was born on December 6th, 1935 in Corning, New York the daughter of the late Lloyd Ruggles and Margaret Ruggles. She married the love of her life, Edward "Skip" Simpson, on September 14th, 1954. She was employed by Schweizer Aircraft for many years before her retirement.
Marge will be remembered for her love for her grandchildren, fishing, and playing cards.
Marge is survived by her daughter: Brenda (Dan) Ratchford, grandchildren: Kevin (Mary) Kapral, Jason (Christina) Kapral, Ryan (Amanda) Ratchford, and David (Jordan) Ratchford, great grandchildren: Rhett Ratchford, Remy Ratchford, Walker Kapral, Mason Kapral, Cason Kapral, Ashlynn Kapral, and Brooke Kapral, brother: Jim (Shirley) Ruggles, sister in-law: Kay Ruggles, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marge was predeceased by daughter: Penny Kapral, sisters: Barbara Jacobi, Elaine Radka, Gale Abbey, and Shirley (Jim) Kuttner, brothers: Frank Ruggles, Ron Ruggles, and Tom (Dale) Ruggles.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Campbell United Methodist Church 8516 Main Street Campbell, New York 14821. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 pm. Burial will take place in the family plot in Campbell Hope Cemetery on Thursday June 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
