Obituary for Louise A. Scott
Louise A. Scott, age 87, of Painted Post, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at home. She was born on November 4, 1934 in Corning, the daughter of the late Hiram and Hazel (Horton) Scott.
Louise was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked listening to country music and crocheting. Louise worked for Corning, Inc and World Kitchen, retiring in 2000.
She is survived by her children, Robert Scott, Deborah Payne, Elouise Neally, and Pamela (Ray) Myers, grandchildren, Bradley Evans, Jenifer Payne, Ashley Allison, Justin Payne, Tina Wilson, Melinda Aumick, Eric Neally, Jessica Neally, Tracy Myers, Samantha Folnsbee, Patrick Folnsbee, and Karrie Lewis, many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her siblings, Arthur Scott, Gertrude Sherwood, Mike Scott, Dorothy Cleveland, Paul Scott, Norma White, Lillian Hamilton, Shirley Burdick, and Jack Scott.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 West Pulteney Street, Corning on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. A celebration of Louise's life will follow there at 5:00 pm. Afterward, there will be a gathering at Local 1000. Please bring a dish to pass.
