Obituary for Louis Larsen Jr.
Louis Larsen, Jr., age 91 of Painted Post, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers.
Born on February 11, 1931 in Corning, NY, he was the son of the late Louis, Sr. and Florence (Anderson) Larsen. Louis was a graduate of Corning Northside High School, class of 1950. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. He married Nancy Orton on February 5, 1965. He worked as a car salesman for Millers Brothers of Corning. Louis was an avid golfer and will be remembered for his great sense of humor and someone who always had a story to tell.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of Painted Post; daughter, Margret (John) Kostolansky of Jefferson, MD; son, Erik (Raheela Latif) Larsen of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Kaylie Kostolansky, Larsen (Erik Jones) Kostolansky, Julie Larsen, Alex Larsen, Rachel Larsen; great granddaughter, Macie Larsen; sisters-in-law: Floris Sisler and Marjorie (William) Olmstead; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Corning VFW, 281 Baker St., Corning, NY. Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis’s name may be sent to a charity of your choice.
