Obituary for Lorenzo Kincaid King
Lorenzo Kincaid King, age 91, of Corning, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at home. He was born on February 1, 1932 in Chatham, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Walter and Eldora (Davis) King. He married Margaret Chambers on November 30, 1957 at the South Corning Methodist Church. She predeceased him on November 20, 2016.
Lorenzo valued a honest days work and he was always busy working and fixing things. He was a veteran of the US Army and he retired from Corning, Inc where he worked as a millwright..
He is survived by his son, Joseph (Elizabeth) King of Corning, grandchildren, BillieJoe (Wes Morrow) King of Lindley, Timothy (Brooke) King of Caton, Nicholas (Shelby) LaDieu of Caton, and Michael (Veronica) LaDieu of NC, great grandchildren: Justine, James, Kennedy, Avery, Hannah, Anthony and Becca, brothers: Merlson (Carol) King and James (Patricia) King, sister-in-law, Helen West, brother-in-law, Frances Chambers, and canine companion, Honey. Lorenzo was predeceased by his daughters, Peggy at her birth and Christine LaDieu.
Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 West Pulteney Street, Corning, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Lorenzo's celebration of life will follow there at 4:00pm. Military honors and burial will take place at Barnard Cemetery on Thursday at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations in Lorenzo’s name to West Caton Baptist Church, 10663 West Caton Road, Corning, NY 14830.
