Obituary for Kenneth L. Beckhorn
Kenneth L. Beckhorn passed away at age 79, on Sunday, May 1, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ken was born in Corning, NY on September 2, 1942 to Carl and Doris (Mapes) Beckhorn. Ken worked at the A&P Plant in Horseheads, Prattsburgh Creamery and retired in August 2003 from Corning Community College.
He was an avid motorcyclist, riding cross country a couple of times with his beloved wife by his side on their Trike. He also was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed building race car engines, spending many weekends at Woodhull Raceway in the 1960's and 70's. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Doris (Walt) Maxwell; granddaughter, Sara (Archie) Frunzi; great grandchildren: Ashton and Grace Frunzi; special niece, Heidi Soden; as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ken was predeceased by his parents; wife of 55 years, Roberta "Anne" (Nichols) Beckhorn; and sister, Sandra Rowan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
At Ken's request, there will be no calling hours. The family suggests donations be made to Bampa's House, 170 E. 1st St., Corning, NY 14830.
Interment has been entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY.
