June J. Dailey, age 79 of Corning, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.
Born on November 24, 1942 in South Waverly, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Vandermark) Reynolds. June was a graduate of Sayre High School. She married Charles Dailey on November 29, 1963. He predeceased her on September 22, 2004. June spent her years working as a homemaker and raising her two daughters.
June will be remembered most for her generosity and her thoughtful and kind spirit. She had a caring soul and spent her free time volunteering at the Corning Senior Center and Victory Highway Wesleyan Church. When she wasn't helping others, she enjoyed reading and had a passion for home decorating and fixing things up. Her greatest joy was her family. She was very involved in her children and grandchildren's lives.
June is survived by her daughters: Brenda (Gregory) Reep of Painted Post, NY, Kathy Smith of Bath, NY; grandchildren: Camron Reep, Forrest Smith, Maggie Bryson and Gunnar Bailey; great grandsons: Eli and Tucker Bryson; sister, Betty Northrup; brother, William Reynolds; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Rodney Ellis.
It was June's wish that there be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined by the family. Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
