Obituary for John Francis Merrill
John Francis Merrill, age 86 of Campbell, NY passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at home. He was born on June 4, 1935 in Corning, New York to Carl and Eglentine Merrill. John was a graduate of Savona High School. He married Glenda Merrill (Dobson) on August 1, 1982. He was employed by the Polly-O Dairy, Campbell, NY for many years retiring in 2005.
In his free time, John will be remembered for the time he enjoyed spending with his grandchildren. He would often be found tinkering around the house, woodworking and gardening.
John is survived by 3 children: Sandra Merrill of Corning, Deborah Merrill of Waterloo, NY; Francis Merrill of Corning; 2 step children: Mary Park of Campbell, Steven Pastore of NC; sister: Nancy Covert of FL; grandchildren: Jamie Monahan, Crystal French, Patrick Monahan, Matthew Park, Meagan Park, Daniel French, Jennifer Maddock, Kailey Merrill, Chase Merrill, Michael Pastore; great grandchildren: Halie, Noah, Ethan, Saige, Faith, Liam, Kali and several other beloved great grandchildren that he wasn't able to meet.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Glenda Merrill in 2018; step son, Andrew Pastore; grandson, Casey Monahan.
It was John's wish that there be no services. Phillips Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
