Obituary for Jeffrey C. Belanger
Jeffrey C. Belanger, age 50 of Painted Post, New York passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Robert Packer Hospital with his wife and children at his side. He was born on March 29, 1971 to Charles and Georgia (Stackhouse) Belanger. He married Kristina LaValley on October 16, 1993.
He was employed by Ziegler's Florist in Horseheads for the past 8 years.
In his free time, Jeffrey will be remembered for his fascination with flipping furniture, yard work, sitting by the fire pit on Sunday mornings with Bella, home renovation, and his endless marathons of “Fixer Upper” and The Food Network. His love for the outdoors could be seen in every tree, homeless plant and bush he found and brought home to bring to life. He was unbelievably proud of his children in everything they accomplished no matter how big or small - they truly were the most precious gifts he ever had.
Jeffrey is survived by wife: Kristina Belanger; children: Mira Belanger, Noah Belanger; mother and father in law: Nancy and Brandon LaValley; brothers: Brian (Nanette) Belanger, Gregory (Shannon) Belanger, Charles F. Belanger Jr, sister in law: Erin (Jason) Wolcott; four legged companion: Bella, along with several nieces, nephews, great niece, aunts, uncles, cousins and very special family friends.
Jeffrey was predeceased by many loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney Street, Corning, NY 14830. A private Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home following the conclusion of calling hours.
Jeffrey loved flowers, but his love for his children would not be surpassed. In lieu of flowers, donations to his children's college fund may be sent to: Corning Credit Union,1 Credit Union Plaza, Corning, NY 14830, C/O Mira and Noah Belanger College Fund Savings.
