Jay L. Golliver, age 64 of Addison, NY passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Corning Hospital with family and friends by his side.
He was born on August 30, 1958 in Meadville, PA. In 1965 Jay was adopted by Walter and Velma Golliver. His adoptive father died shortly after his adoption.
Jay worked as a laborer for Corning, Inc. retiring in 2017 after 34 years of service. His favorite hobby was building scale model cars which he did from childhood until the day before his passing.
Jay is survived by his wife, Victoria (Miss Vickie). They would have celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on September 28th. In the first years of marriage. Vickie located his birth father and siblings and Jay met them all.
He is also survived by sons: Jordan (Meggan) Golliver, Matthias (Tessa) Golliver; stepson, Michael (Becky) Kelsey; stepdaughter, Amy Kelsey; grandchildren: Eli and Shelby Golliver; step-grandchildren: Anthony and Kenneth Miller, Nate Kelsey and Abigail Kelsey; siblings: Carolyn (Michael) Kulick, James (Bonnie) Cerby both from Fort Myers, FL, Gerald (Butch) Smith from Erie, PA and Julie Cerby from Cambridge Springs, PA. Jay is also survived by his closest friend, Michael Magner and numerous friends.
His birth and adoptive parents; brother, Brian Gorby (whom he never met); and dearest friend, Jeff Neally predeceased him.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 3:00 pm, Pastor Andy Shanks officiating. He will be laid to rest at East Canton, PA Cemetery at a later date.
