Howard Beach Estep, age 83, of Lindley, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 surrounded by his family at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1939 in Corning, the son of the late Howard and Catherine (Beach) Estep. He married Brenda Clark on July 7, 1962 in Corning.

Howard was an avid outdoorsman, an Herbologist, and he organized LPC Little League. He enjoyed sail boating, studying Native Americans, and history. Howard worked as a Millwright at Corning, Inc., retiring after 40 years of service.

He is survived by wife of 60 years, Brenda, children, Evan Estep, Janine (Terry) VanZile, Brenda Estep, and Catherine Gilbert (Ray Ferry), grandchildren, Kevin (Ashley Root), Joshua, Marcus, Heather (Andy Nangle), Zachary (Cassandra Lane), Joelene (Alex Nami), Calyx, Flint, Issac, Ian, Chloe, and Jayden, several great grandchildren, and sisters-in-law, Charlotte Estep, Karen Estep, and Connie Bravo, and several nieces and nephews, and friends of the family, Donna Vance and Adam Gilbert. Howard was predeceased by his brothers, Leland (June), Martin (Alvena), William, James, and Floyd, step sister, Catherine McCurry, and step brother, Tom Barner.

Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 West Pulteney Street Corning, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. A celebration of Howard's life will take place there at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Barnard Cemetery.
