Obituary for Eugene "Gene" A. Fuller

Eugene “Gene” Fuller, age 76, of Beaver Dams, New York passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1946 in Corning, New York the son of the late Stanley "Duke" Fuller and Florence Holton. Gene was a graduate of Corning-Painted Post West High School in 1964. He was a four-sport letterman in high school and a state champion wrestler.

He married Linda Pearson, his wife of 34 years, on February 10, 1968. While Gene served in the U.S. Navy, the couple made their home in Lexington Park, MD. After he was honorably discharged, they made their home in Beaver Dams. Gene was employed by CONRAIL and Norfolk Southern Railroad as a railroad engineer before retiring in 2008. He was an avid sportsman, regularly competing in archery tournaments throughout the country. In 2010, Gene won a world championship in archery. An avid Yankees fan, he was rarely seen without his signature cap.

Gene will be remembered for his light-hearted sense of humor and love for his family, especially his granddaughter Sydney who always made him smile.

Gene is survived by his two children: Kevin (Kristin) Fuller of Minneapolis, MN and Ryan (Angela) Fuller of Austin, TX; two granddaughters: Emma and Sydney; brothers: Keith Fuller, Randy Fuller, Ronnie Fuller, Bradley Fuller all of Beaver Dams, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased in death by his wife, Linda Fuller; brother, Stanley Fuller; and sister, Christine Fuller.

Family and friends are invited to call at Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church, 2075 Chambers Rd, Beaver Dams, NY on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 1:00 pm-2:00pm. A memorial service will immediately follow. Following the service, there will be an internment at the Beaver Dams Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church after the service.
