Doreen D. Bierwiler, age 69 of Corning, NY passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on August 15, 1953 in Corning, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Patricia (Briggs) Bush. Doreen was a graduate of Corning West High School, class of 1971. She married John Bierwiler on May 15, 1971. She worked as an Inspector for Corning Glass Works for 27 years before her retirement in 1996.
Doreen is survived by her loving husband, John C. Bierwiler of Corning, NY; daughter, Julie (Ed) Moore of Corning, NY; grandson, Zachary (Alexys Harrington) Moore of Buffalo, NY; granddaughter, Kalon (Corey Hoover) Moore of Corning, NY; great grandson, Liam Northrup; brother, Gerald (Catherine) Bush of Jersey Shore, PA; sister, Cynthia Bush of Corning, NY; sister-in-law, Sylvia Hamilton of Beaver Dams, NY; brother-in-law, Douglas (Barbara) Bierwiler of Beaver Dams, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doreen was predeceased by a baby brother, Joseph Bush, Jr.; father and mother-in-law: John and Betty Bierwiler; and brother-in-law, John Hamilton.
It was Doreen's wish that there be no services. Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
