Obituary for Debra Jean Falk
Debra J. Falk, age 71 of Corning, NY passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Corning Hospital. Born on July 31, 1950 in Corning, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Haynes) Falk.
Debra was a graduate of Corning East High School, class of 1968 and later attended Nazareth College of Rochester where she received her Bachelor's Degree. Debra worked as an art teacher for the Irondequoit School District and later joined her family in Newport, RI. After moving to Newport, she continued her work in the hospitality industry. She also assisted her brother-in-law, Joseph Sabatino with his contracting business. Debra will be remembered for her love of art and animals - especially her German Shepherd dogs to whom she gave so much love. She enjoyed her time living in Newport and being surrounded by the ocean. In 2019 she returned to the Corning area with her sister, Jo Ann.
Debra is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Sabatino of Corning, NY.
A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Corning. Phillips Funeral Home,17 W. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
