Obituary for Danny J. Townsend
Danny J. Townsend, age 74, of Campbell, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 6, 1948 in Corning, New York the son of the late Abel and Luella Townsend. He married the love of his life, the former Diane Audinwood on July 25, 2009. He was employed by the Corning Inc. for 32 years before his retirement.
Danny will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting and his love of eating.
Danny is survived by his spouse, Diane Townsend; children: Danny Townsend II, Greg (Sarah) Townsend, and Tim (Toshia) Townsend; step children: Mick (Ashley) Fuller, Ken (Tina) Fuller and Paula (Ronnie) Dubois; sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; siblings: Abel (Kathy) Townsend, Bonnie (Tony) Blodgett, Richard Townsend, Carol Nichols and Shirley Thomas, along with nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Wilson.
It was Danny's wish that there be no services. A celebration of Danny's life will take place at a later date. Phillips Funeral Home, Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
