Obituary for Andrew J. Passmore
Andrew J. Passmore, age 38, of Caton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 15, 2021 at home. He was born on December 24, 1982 in Elmira, the son of James E. Passmore and Mary McCann. He married Barbara A. Shay on July 29, 2017.
Andy was a loving father to his children. He always made time to teach them all the things he loved. He and Andrew Jr. shared a love of cars. He couldn’t wait to spend time hunting with Jordan, and he looked forward to teaching Charlotte how to fish, hunt and ride four-wheelers. Andy also had a special bond with his nieces and nephews. He had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. He had a big heart and wanted to help people and would always give words of encouragement. He enjoyed all things outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and recently took up an interest in hunting. He was a Mopar enthusiast, loved cars in general, and four wheelers. Andy spent his summers gardening. He took pride in everything he grew and couldn’t wait to share what he had grown with friends and family. He loved all animals especially his three rescued dogs, Lexie, Peaches, and Star.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; children, Andrew Passmore Jr, Jordan Carey, and Charlotte Passmore; siblings, James Passmore, James (Bobbi) Lusk, Greg Passmore, Kathy (Jim) Caporiccio, and Ashley Lusk; mother and stepfather, Mary and John Lusk; stepmother Carole Passmore; in-laws, Lee and Colleen Aumick; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, great nieces, and a great nephew. Andrew was predeceased by his father, James Passmore.
A private family viewing will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11:30-12:30. Afterwards family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 1:00 at Elmwood Cemetery.
